Metroid Prime (Bosses)

Metroid Prime - Parasite Queen and Escape

This is a series I decided to do quite randomly back in the past. This early on in my video making history, I really did not plan anything out and just kind of did what I wanted to... This series is basically just the bosses from the first Metroid Prime, in this case, the Parasite Queen and the escape portion.

Metroid Prime - Hive Mecha and Ram War Wasps

This early into the game, this mini-boss is actually more threatening than most later bosses! If you get knocked into the poisoned water more than once you are basically dead. Sometimes it will only take one dip into it! This is the game's first mini-boss, the Hive Mecha and its Ram War Wasps.

Metroid Prime - Plated Beetle Mini-Boss

It is hilarious how much the difficulty curve goes down from here. This mini-boss goes down in no time at all with no difficulty. This is the Plated Beetle Mini-Boss.

Metroid Prime - Incinerator Drone Mini-Boss

This one is definitely a step up from the Plated Beetle, but it is still not so bad. You just need to play some jump rope with the flamethrowers and this thing will be down in no time. Silly Incinerator Drone, you are poorly programmed!

Metroid Prime - Flaahgra

Weird name aside, this boss only has one threatening attack. Just fight it with a proper strategy and it will go down eventually. Do not forget to scan both itself and its roots!

Metroid Prime - Sheegoth Mini-Boss

These little fellahs can actually pack quite a bite if you are not careful, and their big momma is definitely nothing to take lightly either. Apparently bombs work on the big one as well, but I cannot see them being all that much more effective than properly timed missiles.

Metroid Prime - Thardus

Thardus is another of those bosses who has all of one threatening move, and once you learn to dodge it, his difficulty drops dramatically. Getting away from his rolling ball attack can take some practice, but I find hiding in a corner using the Boost Ball tends to work nicely.

Metroid Prime - Omega Pirate

There is a huge gap in time between this boss and the previous one in this game. I would have preferred one or two more to fill the gap, but eh. The Omega Pirate is a real pain, but if you fight him right, he should go down without causing you too much trouble.

Metroid Prime - Meta Ridley

This is one of those fights that is long for all the wrong reasons, but I will say this, this easily seems to be the hardest boss in the game. Quick tip, boost ball into Ridley's feet when he lands during the first form of the battle and it will drain his health extremely fast to move onto the second form!

Metroid Prime - Metroid Prime Part 1

The final boss has the same name as the game title... so yeah, the video title there gets a little silly, but anyways. This final boss has two forms, of course, and the first one is probably the only one that will ever kill you. Use all of your missiles here, they are basically useless on the second form.
