Mega Man & Bass (Perfect Runs) - Intro Stage

Oooh, now THIS was a fun series to record! While we certainly could not do anything of a co-op nature at this time, Roahm and I could still do collaborative projects, and this was one of them! I helped out with his ever-popular Perfect Run series by taking on this game with Bass. The results were surprisingly mixed!

Mega Man & Bass (Perfect Runs) - Cold Man's Stage

While I personally normally start with Ground Man, I made sure to follow Roahm's pattern when recording these Perfect Runs. I also used these videos to demo my new type of annotations that were later reworked and used.

Mega Man & Bass (Perfect Runs) - Astro Man's Stage

This stage is weird, but Astro Man's Mega Man 8 stage is far weirder. Yes, that is right... the actually recycled a couple of robot masters in this game. This helps emphasize that this is, in fact, a spin-off type of game instead of an actual game in the classic series. Although the fact it shows up in the ending of Mega Man 9 does make me wonder if that has changed.

Mega Man & Bass (Perfect Runs) - Ground Man's Stage

This was definitely a stage where Bass has a lot of advantages over Mega Man when just using their bare minimum abilities. Roahm does not even use Mega Man's charge shots for these runs, so this resulted in a lot of trouble when going up against this stage's mini-boss.

Mega Man & Bass (Perfect Runs) - Magic Man's Stage

Wheee, this is easily my favourite stage in the entire game! Fun stage, fun music, fun boss fight, it has everything! Magic Man's weapon is pretty neat too as it works like a boomerang of sorts.

Mega Man & Bass (Perfect Runs) - Tengu Man's Stage

Poor Roahm... this entire stage is heavily biased against Mega Man. Everything in it is so much easier with Bass's double jump and ability to aim... especially the boss. Seriously... fighting Tengu Man with just the buster is a nightmare for Mega Man while it is perfectly possible as Bass.

Mega Man & Bass (Perfect Runs) - Dynamo Man's Stage

Well... the previous stage was biased in Bass's favour, now the tables have turned! Well... sort of... only the boss is really biased against Bass. The stage itself has a mini-boss that is more difficult for Mega Man, but the boss himself is a nightmare for Bass, all because he cannot slide...

Mega Man & Bass (Perfect Runs) - Pirate Man's Stage

Ahoy thar! This do be the shortest, most simple stage in the game! Just beware of the Pirate Man as he may take you down if you try to steal his room full of booty, hehe. Seriously though, those mines can be tricky to deal with.

Mega Man & Bass (Perfect Runs) - Burner Man's Stage

I hate Burner Man... I hate him so much. I figure this is as good of a time as any to mention that the outtakes I kept for these videos are every single outtake I had, even for this stage. Oh gods the outtakes... so many outtakes...

Mega Man & Bass (Perfect Runs) - King's Fortress : Stage 1

Well, Roahm only does the robot master stages when it comes to his Perfect Runs series, so I decided to go ahead and start using power-ups and weapons and so forth once I reached the fortress. I also stopped keeping the outtakes as that uses up a ton of harddrive space and requires a lot more editting time than I am used to... ehehe...
