Post A technical question about guest commentator shenanigans.
Hey there Shagg, I've got a small question I didn't see in the FAQ...

While you are recording a video with guest commentary, is the guest able to see the game play live? If yes, what sort of hardware and/or software are you using for that to work? If no, I must say, their reactions during the videos fooled me into thinking this was the case. XD (Mind voodoo!)

Thanks,
-TJ

They usually are. Skype, which we use to talk to each other, also has a screen sharing function that lets the guest see the game I'm playing.
They probably won't see it at a smooth FPS, but if my connection is decent that day it will be watchable.
So basically all you need to have to let people watch you play a game is Skype. I guess you could also set up a stream somewhere, but you'd have to ask Pink about that.

Ah, handy to know! And I'm sensing that the screen sharing method are based on games that're on the computer screen in non-console form. Which makes me think that when it comes to console games, one would have to rely on that method. (That is, unless I some how trick Skype into thinking my Dazzle is a webcam, or getting the Dazzle's display to go full screen on my computer's screen, and use the method you mentioned.) Thank you very much for the info.
