Post Final Fantasy 1
On last part of Mario crossover, you asked us for ideas for names and party setup...

Maybe something like you did in Final Fantasy Legend 2? :D
It will be You, Kit, Roahm, and Pink
as for setup... you can choose what you thing suit them best :D

That has been one of the options I'm considering!
One other idea I had was to choose four names, and have a poll for each of them asking what class they should be.
I'll have a video going more in-depth on the party picking whenever I start FF1.

Final Fantasy... I consider a good team to be a Fighter, a Thief, a White Mage, and either a Red or Black Mage. Thief and Fighter provide the brawn, while the Black/Red Mage rains destruction and the White Mage supports.

That would beg the question: Which version should he play through? There's the NES, the PlayStation, the PSP, the GBA, the Wonderswan, cell phonesOH GOD WHEN WILL IT END??!

Now that I think about it, I have seen few PlayStation games in Shagg's LPs (The one that stands out most to me is Symphony of the Night), and his recording methods for the PSP are unreliable (if what I remember is correct), so we can axe that version right off the bat. But, he has done quite a few NES and GBA titles (and out of those two, the GBA version is the less-broken one in the mechanics sense).

So, the way I see it, there are two options open: The ideal one for Shagg, and the ideal one for his fans.

The version on the PlayStation (Final Fantasy Origins) is a bit harder (uses spell charges instead of MP, enemies are tougher), and we get to see those spiffy FMVs at the start and the end! The GBA version (Dawn of Souls) is easier (spells use MP, enemies are a bit more "balanced"), and we'd get to see those awesome bonus dungeons (Soul of Chaos) after the final boss goes down.

It's all up to Shagg which version he wants to play, *if* he wants to play.

My suggestion would be this.

:kit: : Thief.

He does speed runs, so it makes sense for him to be the speedy character.

:shagg: : Fighter

You take quite alot of hits when you do Mega Man playthroughs, so it makes sense for you to be the tank.

:roahm: : Black/Red Mage

Roahm has an ice affinity, so he should be the mage so he can make use of ice magic as well as other magic.

:pink: : White Mage

STOP! Hammertime!

And make sure to have Shagg leading the team, espeacially if you're playing the GBA/PS1 version. The enemies are most likely to attack the leader of the team.

Yknow, when playing the GBA edition of FF1, I actually quite enjoyed my Four-Redmage playthrough. I named all of them after status effects, cause I figured they'd always be afflicted by SOMETHING.

Let me tell you, Asleep kicked some serious ass. And the team actually managed some of the bonus dungeons as well!

Did I ever finish that run? Can't remember. I know I never grinded/farmed at all, cause.. I never need to in Final Fantasy games. I always always ALWAYS get lost somewhere and every time I get into a random encounter, I forget which way I was going, and I end up getting a million levels by the time I figure out which path I haven't taken yet. @_@

That is actually suprisingly easy to pull off, if you have the patience for all the grinding.

I've done an all red mage run before, it was pretty easy on the gba version. White mages I tried, but I got tired of it very quickly. And so would most viewers, I'm guessing.

Well Red Mages are the jack of all trades, so to speak. Good with swords, although not as good as Fighters or Thieves, Good at Black Magic, although can't learn as many spells nor be as potent with them as Black Mages/Wizards, good at white magic, although again, can't learn as many spells nor be as good with them as White Mages/Wizards.

So they're probably the first choice if you're going to do a one class run of FF.
