I don't know if it's just because of the 8-bit style limiting the color palettes, but Origami Man looks a bit strange to me, like he REALLY lacks shading or something. I mean, I know it's not as if you can just decide to use forty different colors for an 8-bit sprite or anything, but something about his sprite seems... vaguely lacking or empty somehow. I can't place my finger on it, though.

That said, I really like the mugshots for these two! It probably wasn't intentional, but I find it sorta silly how Met Man's shoulders could be mistaken for feet in the mugshot at first and make it look like the boss is just a normal met. :amused:

Well hey, it worked pretty well when the Mythbusters tested it.

AWAITING ORDERS, SIR!!!

Picket Man: But I'm a 'man' too! :disappointed:

Also, upon defeating Oragami Man...
"Hehe, sucker! You've been cursed! How bad is it? By switching weapons, you can now TURN INTO A PAPER DUCK. That is humiliating, isn't it? Can't you comprehend how horrible your life will be now?"

*watches parts of the episode in question* Well, I'll be. :shockedsun:

Well, I did see the episode with the toilet paper rope scale and it held up rather well.

Apparently I was feeling productive today. I also got Fruit Man done! A usually friendly and almost child-like Robot Master, Fruit Man oversees a vast orchard. My original concept for Fruit Man came up as a "just for the pun of it" situation, as I thought of a more literal interpretation of Pineapple Grenade.

All these custom Robot Master sprites are making me want to design one of my old ideas, Vulture Man

And another one done! Time for Bow Man :

With him done, I only have Glass Man to go... and I really should get off my tail and finalize his design ^_^;;

The hat could use a bit more work, it seems extremely bland.

Eh... I can't really think of anything to add to it to be honest. It starts turning into adding detail for detail's sake.

The old portrait I had done of Bow Man... something about it didn't quite sit right with me. Fortunately, Paul, a member of FireSkiesStudios, had tried as well. He made a portrait by tracing my original concept art of Bow Man. A little tweaking here and there with the colors and style, and this was the end result. I think it looks better than the old one.

Editting to avoid a triple post :

I finally got Glass Man designed! It was tricky to come up with a design that didn't feel more crystal or ice based to me, but I think I'm happy with the end result :

And thus, my army of Robot Masters is complete!

NOW THE WORLD IS YOURS

You really gotta appreciate the charm of some of these robot masters.
Met Man trying to look intimidating even though his portrait makes him look like a man.
Fruit man with the shine on his apple and made of different fruits.
Bow man having that bit of "seriousness" to him
And Glass man reminds of that big tough cue ball like from pokemon who are big, tough, and bald, but some of them can be fragile as glass.
I'm not sure if that was intentional or maybe I'm just looking at this way too deep

They're all great and hope to see em in action soon :)

Quite a nice selection of Robot Masters. Disco Man, Devil Man, Vegas Man, Met Man, Oragami ,Fruit Man, Bow Man, and Glass Man.

Boy, have I made a lot of crazy Robot Masters...

On a side note... good thing Oragami Man isn't Paper Man. Otherwise, I think Mega Man wouldn't stand a chance, if you know what I mean. ;)

Finally started drawing some of my current team :

Image

Remy the Crawdaunt is a stylish blackjack dealer. He carries an air of confidence, and tends to be quite the charmer where ladies are concerned. The card aspect stems from the name Remy, which also happens to be the real name of Gambit, my favorite of the X-Men.

Image

A coastal resident, Tropicallo the Tropius makes his living by harvesting and selling fruit. A laid back sort, he spends most of his spare time at the beach.

I don't know if I've commented before (I don't think I have) but I always love seeing new pictures of your Pokemon anthros! They always look so awesome.

Remy looks especially cool! Crawdaunt doesn't get much attention does it?

I really, really like how Remy's suit is styled after Crawdaunt's shell and those sleeves seems like the perfect place to hide stuff O:

Tropicallo seems like a cool guy, makes me wonder if he can fly with those giant leaves on his back ^_^

Finally tore myself away from Resident Evil 5 achievement hunting long enough to draw a couple of my current team members!

Image

Darui the West Gastrodon is one of two brothers who work as sound technicians. The more laid back of the two, Darui nevertheless does most of the hands on equipment work. Why did I make Gastrodon a sound technician? Check out his animated sprite in Black and White. He's totally bobbing his head to a beat and needs headphones.

Image

Coulomb the Pachirisu is the host of an educational childrens' show, teaching younger generations about science. Think Beakman's World or Bill Nye, just with an electric squirrel. SCIENCE! He is rather smitten with Scarlet the Emolga.

Coulomb: "Okay, children. Let's see how much electricity is required for this gasoline to catch fire."
Darui: "Umm, Coulomb..."
Coulomb: *starts an electrical gas fire* WAAAA!

*time lapse and the lab is a little scorched, but otherwise fine*

Coulomb: "W-well, as you can see kids, electricity can start things on fire with relativly low energy. That was totally on purpose..."
